Why don't my ratings show immediately?

The BallFields App can be used by 10's of 1000's of users. Every users rating is aggregated so that I make sure everyone's rating counts. To do this in a distributed system like BallFields, the ratings are "shaded" in different queues and then background processes come and add them together in the order they were created.

This is true for Facility Ratings as well as Field Ratings. Therefore it can always be a couple of seconds before your rating is added - but in the meantime, other users ratings are being summed up as well.
